Barça promised Salah they would sign him for free in 2023

UK press reports revealed that Barcelona is closely following Mohamed Salah's situation in light of the fact that the Reds and Salah have not yet reached a final agreement to sign a new contract. According to The Mirror, the Catalan club has promised the Liverpool forward they will sign him for free next summer. He has not yet renewed his contract at Anfield and his current terms expire in 2023.
The newspaper added that negotiations to renew the Egyptian star’s contract with the Reds are still complicated, due to the gap between the financial demands of Mohamed Salah and the club’s offer.
Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017, coming from Rome, Italy, in a deal worth 42 million euros. Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 the Premier League side for an initial fee of €42 million coming from Rome AC.
So far, the Egypt international has only confirmed that he will remain at Liverpool next season. The Premier League runners-up hope to renew his deal, but he seems more interested in deciding his future when his contract expires.
