Real Madrid announced today, Thursday, the official contract of German defender Antonio Rudiger, in a free transfer deal, after the end of his contract with his former club Chelsea, during the summer transfer market .The Germany international will join Madrid on a free transfer and be presented to fans and the media next week. Real Madrid announced on Thursday that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join the Spanish champions on a free transfer in the summer.
Real Madrid issued an official statement, saying: "The club has reached an agreement with the player Antonio Rudiger, who will be linked to the club over the next four seasons."The statement added: "The player will be presented on Monday, June 20 this month. Antonio Rudiger's presentation ceremony as a new player at Real Madrid will take place after which he will appear in front of the media."In a statement on the player’s Instagram account, Rüdiger said: “I'm proud to announce that I'll be joining Real Madrid. I'm super excited for all the challenges ahead and can't wait to play my first games for this huge club.” The 29-year-old German defender is Real Madrid's first deal during the summer Mercato, in order to strengthen the team's ranks in preparation for the new season 2022-2023.
