Benzema crowned the player of the season at Real Madrid

French star Karim Benzema was crowned as Real Madrid's player of the year for the current season 2021-2022, thanks to the impressive levels he presented with the royal team in all competitions. Benzema presented the best season in his career since joining Real Madrid after he won the Spanish League’s top scorer award for the first time with 27 goals. Benzema has participated with Real Madrid since the beginning of the current season in 45 matches, during which he managed to score 44 goals and assist 15 others in all tournaments. Benzema is the top scorer in the Champions League with 15 goals so far, two goals behind Robert Lewandowski, his closest rival  .Benzema seeks to lead Real Madrid to crown the Champions League for the 14th time in the club’s history when it meets Liverpool in the final next Saturday. Benzema's contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2023.
