AC Milan’s coach Pioli begs thieves to return his medal!
AC Milan’s head coach Stefano Pioli was left pleading for the return of his winner’s medal after the club secured their first Serie A title in 11 years. Stefano Pioli revealed his Serie A winners' medal was stolen during a pitch invasion after his side wrapped up their title triumph at Sassuolo on Sunday.
Pioli said in a television statement: "I kindly ask the person who stole the medal from me to pass it on because it is the first medal in my training career. I don't have one but it..."
An account on “Instagram” posted a video clip of three people with the gold medal for Pioli with the phrase “Grazie Pioli” meaning thank you, Pioli. The account holder did not hesitate to publish a picture of the faces of three people with the medal.
The Italian League responded, via Twitter, saying: "Don't worry Mr. Pioli, we will give you same another medal." Stefano Pioli, 56, won the best coach award this season, after leading Milan to crown the Italian league champion "Calcio" for the first time since the 2010-2011 season, the nineteenth in its history.
