Chiellini: "What experienced with Italy’s national team is better than what enjoyed in Turin”
Giorgio Chiellini, who played his last game for Juventus on Saturday, confessed on Monday that "winning the European Championship is something unique" and that "the national team beats Juve" emotionally. The 'Bianconeri' player did not hesitate to admit that what he has experienced with his country's national team is better than what he has enjoyed in Turin. Chiellini says goodbye to Juventus and, at almost 38 years of age, the veteran Italian center-back took stock of his career. "On the pitch, winning the European Championship is unique. The national team also beat Juve, with all the love and respect I have for Juve. To see the whole country celebrating after COVID-19, at 37 years old, and after the problems I've had... I didn't think I'd reach that point," the center-back said in an Instagram Livestream from the State Institute of Higher Education in Livorno (northern Italy), the city where he lived until his 20s."It was one of the most emotional days. The farewell at Juventus Stadium with my family in the stands, an emotional evening, the end of a career that has given me so much satisfaction," he said."These are weeks in which the mind thinks about various things. I would like an experience abroad, but I have to evaluate the pros and cons. Leaving Turin (north), moving the family with small children... I'm still thinking about it." he said.
