A Spanish referee will take charge of the Saudi King's Cup final tonight

The Referees Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has assigned the Spanish referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz to will take charge of Al-Hilal Riyadh and Al-Fayhaa  FC clash on Thursday in the King's Cup final at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. Spanish referee Antonio Lahoz has taken charge of the UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea. Antonio Miguel Mateu is a Spanish association football referee who has refereed La Liga matches since 2008.The winner of the Saudi King's Cup will receive 10 million riyals, in addition to direct qualification to the Asian Champions League, as the King's Cup runner-up gets an amount of 4 million Saudi riyals. Al-Fayha’ scored an unprecedented achievement by reaching the King’s Cup final in football for the first time in its history, after defeating Al-Ittihad with a clean goal scored by Muhammad Abu Saban, while Al-Hilal defeated Al-Shabab 2-1. Al-Hilal aims to win the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup for the tenth time in its history, while Al-Fayhaa has never won the title before. Al-Hilal seeks to achieve its tenth title in the tournament to become the second most successful in this competition after Al-Ahly Club with 13 titles, despite the absences witnessed by the team during the last period and the injury of some of its players that ended their sports season. Al-Fayhaa has never won the title before.
Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad are in second place in winning the tournament title with 9 titles for each team.
