Liverpool's Thiago was named for the Red’s Best Player award for April

Liverpool's midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been named for the Best Players of the Month award for April via fans' votes, edging his Senegalese teammates, Sadio Mane and Colombian Luis Diaz. Alcantara appears with Liverpool during the month of April in 9 matches, during which the team won 7 matches while continuing to challenge to crown four titles.
After the award was crowned, the Spanish star told the club's website: "It's been a really great month; we've had some crucial matches in the whole month, namely the Champions League. We won important domestic cups as well. The Premier League, it's been a great month for us."
He added: “At the beginning, it was very difficult to play without fans, it was a kind of new partnership with the stadium itself and how we had to prepare for the matches, it was like training, but seriously, but now with the fans again and especially at Anfield, it is completely different. You know the fans are really here, they're in the game. It's an important part for all of us."
