Inter Milan claimed their 8th Coppa Italia after overcoming old foes Juventus in an extra-time victory
In one of the most interesting Italian football matches this year, Inter won their 8th Coppa Italia title after defeating Juventus 4-2 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Inter Milan has won the Coppa Italia, and has added it to the Super Coppa Italia they claimed at the start of this year. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, before the two teams went to extra time, during which Inter scored two goals, ending the match with a 4-2 victory for the Nebrazzori and crowned with the absent title 11 years ago. Nicolo Barilla scores early for Inter in the 6th minute, where the first half ended with this result, but Juve responded with a quick 2 goals in the second half, via Alex Sandro in the 50th minute and Dusan Vlahovic in the 52nd minute. A controversial penalty brought Inter back into the game in the 80th minute, as Hakan Calhanoglu found the net after Lautaro Martinez was fouled. This goal takes the two rivals for additional runs.
