Godswill Akpabio Stadium will host the CAF Confederation Cup final scheduled for Friday, May 20

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced today, Wednesday, that the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria has been chosen to host the CAF confederation cup final slated to hold 20th of May, 2022. The CAF statement added that the date for the start of the match will be determined at the appropriate time. The city of Cotonou, in Benin, hosted the final match of the last edition of the tournament, which was won by Moroccan Raja at the expense of Algeria's JS Kabylie, 2-1.
4 clubs are competing during the current season in order to reach the final match, where the semi-final first leg matches were held at the beginning of this week, where the Congolese TP Mazembe won against its guest the Moroccan Berkane Renaissance 1-0, and Orlando Pirates of South Africa returned with a precious victory from Libya over its host Al-Ahly Tripoli 2-0.
The return matches of the semi-finals will be held on Sunday, May 15th. CAF had chosen Morocco to host the final match of the current edition of the African Champions League on May 30th.
