Benzema equals Real Madrid legend’s number, overtakes Lewandowski in UEFA semi final 

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is the top scorer for the Champions League. Benzema's achievement surpassed the goal made by Bayern Munich player, Robert Lewandowski.
Benzema scored Real Madrid's opener and third goals from a penalty kick by Panenka, topping the list of top scorers in the Champions League this season with 14 goals, thus overtakes the Polish star Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich's top scorer, who has 13 goals.
Benzema managed to lead the provisional list of Champions League top scorers after scoring two goals in the semifinal first leg match against Manchester City on Wednesday, 27 April early Indonesian Time.
The French striker scored in the 33rd and 82nd minutes. With these two goals, Benzema has now collected 14 goals from 10 matches in the Champions League. Benzema's record beats Lewandowski's score, who scored 13 goals in 10 matches. Benzema managed to overtakes the number of goals of Argentine star Lionel Messi in the semi-finals, who has 6 goals.
The French striker played his 600th match for Real Madrid in various competitions against Manchester City, scoring 320 goals and providing 157 assists.
