Manchester United vs. Liverpool: Rivalry, History & Stories prior the North the West Derby 

Manchester United is facing a heavy-caliber clash in the Premier League game at Anfield on Tuesday evening as Liverpool battle in the title race in the postponed derby of the 30th round.
A lot of talk in recent weeks has centred around the burgeoning "rivalry" between Manchester City and Liverpool, with English football's two current leading lights doing battle on multiple fronts.
Tonight’s clash is the 237th in the history of England's Derby between Manchester United and Liverpool in all competitions, where the two teams met face to face in 236 previous matches. This derby tonight is one of the fiercest and most eagerly awaited is the North West Derby between bitter historical rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.
In the previous encounters, Manchester United outperformed Liverpool, as they won 89 matches against 79 victories for the Reds. While 68 clashes between the two rivals ended in a tie in various competitions.
Liverpool recorded historic victories in the last confrontation with Manchester United, at Old Trafford, with 5-0.
Second-placed Liverpool trails Premier League with 73 points, as   Manchester City leader with 54 points.
