Bayern Munich  dismantled by Villarreal in Champions League defeat 

 
Villarreal of Spain scored a valuable victory over its guest Bayern Munich, with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together on Wednesday evening, at La Ceramica stadium, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the European Champions League for the current season 2021-2022.Bayern Munich was unequivocally dismantled by Villarreal of Spain in a 1-0 Champions League defeat where nothing went right and even the team felt lucky to have walked away with only a one goal deficit on aggregate. Dutch striker Arnot Dangoma scored Villarreal's in the 8th minute, after changing the direction of Daniel Parejo's shot past Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. Villarreal had a Francis Coquelin effort in the 42nd minute chalked off after a brief VAR check for offside. The second leg match of the quarter-finals of the Champions League is scheduled at the Allianz Arena April 12th in Munich next Tuesday.
