Ancelotti handed a boost to Real Madrid ahead of Champions League clash

The Spanish giants have welcomed back their manager Carlo Ancelotti on the day of their Champions League match at Stamford Bridge, the Spanish club Real Madrid announced today, Wednesday. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has got the green light to travel to London after testing negative for COVID-19 about a week ago, as he will be ready to lead the team in its strong clash against Chelsea tonight at Stamford Bridge, in the first leg of the quarter-finals UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid CF is pleased to announce that our coach Carlo Ancelotti has returned a negative result for COVID-19, and will therefore travel to London this morning to join up with the first team.
The 62-year-old Italian tested positive for coronavirus last week. He missed the 2-1 win over Celta Vigo at the weekend. This made him doubtful for the first leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final against Chelsea on Wednesday.
Real Madrid are in the Champions League quarter-finals after defeating PSG 3-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.
