Liverpool sets to put one foot in Champions League semi-finals with a hat-trick vs Benfica

Liverpool took control of their Champions League quarter-final against Benfica with a 3-1 victory in Portugal on Tuesday night, setting a new club record in the process in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League at Al-Nour Stadium.
Ibrahima Konate scored the first goal for the Reds in the 17th minute through a wonderful header. This is the first goal in the Champions League for Konate. Later, the Senegalese star Sadio Mane added the second goal in the 34th minute via a wonderful assist from Luis Diaz.
Darwin Nunez managed to reduce the difference by scoring Benfica's only goal in the 49th minute. Three minutes prior the end of the match, Luis Diaz scored Liverpool's third goal.
