Brazil holds on to top spot in FIFA rankings from Belgium

The official site of the international governing body of football news revealed that Brazil’s Seleção have held onto their position at the top of the world football rankings, according to an update released by the international football federation FIFA on Thursday, ahead of Belgian counterpart, which dominated the first place in recent months. Brazil topped the FIFA rankings with 1832 points, ahead of the second-placed Belgium with 1827 points.
The French team came in third place with 1789 points, then Argentina 1765 points, and the English team came in fifth place with 1761 points. The Italian team ranked sixth with 1723 points, then Spain with 1709 points, Portugal 1674 points, Mexico 1658.82 points, and the Netherlands team came in tenth place with 1658.66 points.
The FIFA ranking comes a day prior the draw for the 2022 World Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar which will take place on Friday 1st April 2022 at 11:30 am BST and at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
