Japan draw Vietnam in World Cup qualifiers, providing KSA the opportunity to lead 

Vietnam concluded their journey at the World Cup qualifiers Tuesday with a surprising 1-1 draw against hosts Japan on their home ground at "Saitama 2002" stadium, as part of the 10th and final round of the second group of Asian qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.The visitors Vietnam successfully hold off Japan at their home ground and concluded their journey at the World Cup qualifiers with four points after 10 games.
Vietnam made their first goal in the 19th minute of the match, through Nguyen Thann Binh. While in the second half, Maya Yoshida scored the equalizer for the Japanese team in the 55th minute of the match. Japan strengthened the lead in Group B with 22 points, only two points ahead of Saudi Arabia, which is ranked second with 20, which will face Australia this evening, now stands on the third with 15 points.
