CAF: Morocco to host Champions League final amid venue controversy
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Monday that the 2022 African Champions League final will take place in Morocco on 30 May, despite a request by Egyptian giants Al-Ahly to move the final to a neutral venue. In a press release posted on its website, the CAF revealed it received two bids to host the final. The first was from the Senegalese Football Federation, which was later withdrawn, and the second bid was from the Moroccan Football Federation. CAF added that the Senegalese Football Association withdrew its file, and therefore CAF is pleased to award the hosting of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2022 Final to Morocco. The date of the final is 30 May 2022,” read the CAF statement.

CAF Champions League holders Al-Ahly FC thumped ES Setif 4-0 on Saturday evening in the semifinal first leg match at At Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo. In an official statement to CAF: Al-Ahly SC warns of an “inciter of sedition” prior their clash with Raja Casablanca
The Egyptian Al-Ahly SC club confirmed, in an official letter sent to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), that there are parties trying to inflame overcharging about all the factors surrounding the decisive clash against Moroccan Raja, next Friday, in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals. Defending champions Egypt's Al-Ahly secured a 2-1 a difficult victory over Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals first-leg match at Al-Salam Wei Al-Ahly Stadium in Cairo on Saturday.
