638 days for Barca to win the title again after Messi left the club

It took 638 days for Barca to win the title again after Argentinian Leo Messi left the club. Before the summer of 2021, until this Sunday, Barcelona said goodbye to its last title: a Copa del Rey, won in a landslide (0-4) against Athletic Club de Bilbao in La Carduja. Messi’s double. Barcelona ended its title drought and won the first crown of the Xavi Hernandez era by beating Real Madrid with power (1-3) in the Super Cup final. This title against Madrid takes Barça soaring towards a new era of triumph.  With the trophy already in their possession, almost every Barcelona player, especially the youngest, wanted to take a photo with it to immortalize a moment that, perhaps unknowingly, was going to go down in history.  Barcelona's last title came 638 days ago when it won the King’s Cup of Spain, following beating Athletic Bilbao in the final 4-0 on April 17, 2021. Messi's departure was shocking, but it came as a result of the Catalan club's economic crisis, despite Messi's agreement to reduce his salary by 50%.
