Mourinho rejects Brazil's national team approach

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed that Roma boss Jose Mourinho has rejected a chance to manage the Brazilian national team to replace former coach Tite, who left after the end of the Selecao's performance in the latest World Cup in Qatar. Mourinho has been linked with both Brazil and Portugal, with Fernando Santos’ former side having now appointed Roberto Martinez as their new boss. The Brazil role remains vacant, as things stand. Mourinho was linked with Portugal, who wanted him to hold a dual role while also managing Roma. Reports had stated that the ex-Tottenham boss was committed to Roma and didn’t want to leave the club from the Italian outfit and didn’t want to play a dual role. The Brazilian Football Confederation is seeking to sign a foreign coach for the first time in its history, as it has been associated with many coaches, most notably Spaniard Pep Guardiola, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, and French Zinedine Zidane. Mourinho has been coaching Roma since the beginning of last season, and his contract with Wolves expires in the summer of 2024.
